Events
Over the past year Emerging ACE have held some interesting and fun social evenings and in 2010 we will be doing the same. Keep an eye on the ACE website for news of forthcoming events.
Be sociable at Bonds Bar
The Emerging Ace 'end of summer' drinks night would normally have been preceded by a....summer! But a cancelled summer was no reason to cancel a party and so, on Thursday 24th September 50 colleagues from the industry got together at Bonds Bar in Mayfair for the 3rd event of Emerging Ace. In true industry style they monopolized the downstairs bar, with the last revellers leaving just before midnight. It's fair to say everyone bonded at bonds, which looks set to become a regular haunt for Emerging ACE members. A good time was had by all and a great precursor to the eagerly awaited Emerging ACE Christmas Party.
King Edwards Cruise
2009 Emerging ACE - Thames Riverboat Disco
The 2nd eagerly awaited Emerging ACE event / Thames Riverboat Disco took place on Thursday 20th August.
It was clear as some boarded the riverboat they were used to more stable ground & not the gentle bobbing motion of the Thames !!!
As the sun set over London, the King Edward riverboat set sail from Festival Pier with 100+ excited emerging newstrade executives. Guests were greeted with a glass of wine & a friendly face.
Split across both decks everyone enjoyed the sun set, a drink, conversation & freshly prepared BBQ food. With the sun set & the moon lighting up the Thames, the disco started.
At this point it seemed as though everybody had forgotten about their sea legs & took to the dance floor with their dancing feet. A good night was had by all. Special thanks to the King Edward crew, Natalie Yorke for ensuring the success of this event & everyone who attended.
Meet and Greet the Committee
Meet Greet
On Thursday 18th June over 50 colleagues from the industry got together at Doggett's Coat and Badge Pub in Blackfriars to celebrate the first event of Emerging ACE.
They took the opportunity to network and meet new people from all parts of the supply chain, to put faces to names and to share ideas.
Everybody enjoyed the summer sunshine, a few drinks and several plates of chips. In traditional industry style the last guests left the pub just after midnight.
Chair of Emerging ACE, Suzanne Pullum, said 'We were really pleased that the Emerging ACE message had reached so many companies and over 50 people attending the first event was a real achievement.
We've had great feedback from the people who were there, who really enjoyed the opportunity to meet up with colleagues they wouldn't normally get to see. There's a real buzz around the next event and everybody at ACE is looking forward to delivering a great night out for everybody in August'
