Northern ACE Summer Pie - what a great day
Summer Pie 2010Marriot Worsley – Flixton Cricket & Sports CLUB Tuesday 13th July 2010.
Thanks to the tremendous support for this event from all the host companies 39 golfing trade friends and colleagues played the greens of the chosen new venue for 2010.
An enjoyable day was had by all who attended, the comments indicated that there was no real disappointment when comparing the course to Mottram Hall.
A buffet lunch was provided in the club house on arrival before guests played the first tee.
If golf was not your game and you chose bowls or cricket, guests were taken to Flixton Sports & Cricket club were they play their chosen sport.
Again a buffet lunch was provided on arrival before the serious side of the day began.
The evening session began with a reception from 7.00 pm followed by dinner in the Worsley Suite for 94: guests in attendance who all enjoyed a three course meal which was well presented and enjoyable.
The after dinner entertainment was provided by Northern ACE Secretary Brian Kean with some of his colleagues from his other life “Table Tennis” they were assisted by Mail Newspapers very funny and witty Keith Doney who played the role of umpire! A great day was had be all, the venue really looked after the ACE guests
During the evening Mark Sheridan – Northern ACE Chairman presented Alan Mottram-Playfoot from NewstrAid with a cheque for the charity, this being the proceeds from the raffle.
